Kick-off meeting of the CraNE Joint Action (JA) was held at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Slovenia to the European Union in Brussels. On-line
participation was enabled as well. After the initial welcome messages from the representatives of the European Commission the project scientific coordinator Assist Prof Tit Albreht from the
Slovenian National Institute of Public Health presented the overview of CraNE JA and its objectives. The Slovenian coordinators of CraNE JA presented as well the project management, meeting structure, administrative procedures, financial and technical reporting. Work package (WP) leaders introduced the content and objectives of all four core and four horizontal WPs. Special attention was payed to the presentations of the WP leaders of the core WPs which will greatly contribute to the establishment of the European Network of Comprehensive Cancer Centres.
